The entrepreneurial spirit is high among these young businessmen and women! Week 2 is all about developing and strengthening their business ideas, and the students have already made a lot of progress. Classes have focused on diving deeper into the strategies and tactics which help create a successful business. They are looking at components of the customer like customer satisfaction versus customer delight, their company's value proposition, customer personas, customer lifetime value, and more! Students are looking at operational details such as their overall business model canvas, their business' revenue model, Opex and Capex impacts, SCAMPER ideation and improvement techniques, and the list continues! The material is dense, but immensely important for these aspiring businessowners, and they've taken the challenge head-on.

More than just business classes, students are learning about other topics such as cultural adaptation. While students are doing really well adjusting to their environment, it is important they understand that if they are struggling or feeling homesick, they are not alone. Students got to take some time to learn more about cultural shock and how this can impact their mental wellbeing.

Classes also include Chinese lessons where students partake in classes which reflect genuine Chinese classes but at an accelerated pace. Students have worked hard to grasp the content despite the challenging pace. Class this week involved Chinese calligraphy which was a really fun lesson the students thoroughly enjoyed. They got to practice their painting skills and draw Chinese characters and symbols in order to further develop their language proficiency.

We are enjoying gaining new skills and competencies together while exploring this beautiful island-state! While Singapore has been incredible, we are also gearing up for our weekend trip to Melaka, Malaysia! This trip is sure to be full of history, culture, delicious foods, and lots of shopping, no doubt!
