Host families, reflecting Auckland's multiculturalism, may come from various nationalities, including native New Zealanders. Homestays are typically located under an hour via public transport from the CIEE Auckland. Students are provided with breakfast and dinner from Monday to Friday, allowing them to share meals and daily life with their hosts while maintaining the freedom to explore the city independently. This arrangement fosters meaningful connections and offers firsthand insight into everyday life in Auckland.
A note: The default criterion to assign housing is first-come, first-served; however, other factors may also be considered. If we cannot accommodate your first housing choice, we'll let you know before you arrive.

Shared Apartments/Residence Halls: While meals are not included, students can prepare their own meals in the fully furnished kitchen. Auckland has a vibrant food scene with fresh local fruits, vegetables, and meats readily available. Students can also explore the various restaurants in the areas surrounding the residence hall.
