Olympic Stadium Excursion
On July 11, 2024, students embarked on an exciting cultural excursion from the CIEE campus, traveling by train to explore the historic Olympic Stadium in Berlin. During the visit, students delved into the history of this infamous venue, one designed by Werner March for the 1936 Olympic Games, as well as learned about notable people and events that are part of the stadium's legacy. Students and CIEE staff were given behind-the-scenes access, allowing them to experience the field from unique vantage points, relax in the stadium seats, and even tour the locker rooms where athletes prepare for their moments of glory.
Adding to the thrill of the visit was the anticipation of the UEFA EURO 2024 finale, just days away. The tour was not only educational but also perfectly timed, infusing the students with the vibrant energy and excitement surrounding Germany's most popular sport: soccer.
