Museum für Naturkunde Excursion
Berlin Language & Culture students visited the Museum für Museum für Naturkunde – Leibniz-Institut für Evolutions- und Biodiversitätsforschung (Museum of Natural History – Leibniz Institute for Evolution and Biodiversity Science) on Tuesday, July 30. Renowned for its extensive and diverse exhibits, this integrated research museum offers an unparalleled educational journey.
During their visit, students perused an array of exhibits, including those on dinosaurs, the cosmos and solar system, geology and minerals, and an exhibit detailing the meticulous taxidermy processes museums use to prepare specimens for display. The highlight for many was the impressive Wet Collection, an exhibit featuring over one million preserved specimens housed in 276,000 glass jars, displayed across three levels.
This excursion provided students with a comprehensive look into the natural world, one that served to deepen the students' understanding and appreciation of natural history and biodiversity.
