The making of azulejos
Azulejos is quite the ubiquitous word here in Sevilla. Meaning tiles, the azulejos are everywhere due to the old ceramic workshops in the neighborhood of Triana, which is across the river from the old town of Sevilla. Azulejos are found here on everything from house numbers to the underside of balconies to inside homes and on the pavement. Our students had the opportunity to make some for themselves, and although we don´t have the result yet, here are some pictures from the experience!
