L'Atelier Gourmand & Rallye de 5 Sens
After a busy first few days the Language and Culture students are now settling in and enjoying what Rennes has to offer. Wednesday, students visited the local Atelier Gourmand where they baked Sablés Bretons in pairs and made homemade caramel to drizzle on top in groups of 4. Topped with a few chocolate morsels the students enjoyed a great afternoon snack.
On Friday, students enjoyed the Rallye de 5 Sens. This tour around town was organized by the local tourism office and features two wonderful guides. Students visited some familiar and some new places while looking at both in a different way. They were able to smell the scents of the Marché des Lices, touch the common building materials to the area, and travel back in time matching older pictures to what they look like today.
