Château et Parc Zoologique de la Bourbansais
Seeing a zoo in France is unlike any other. The zoo students went to see on Friday not only featured a variety of animals, but it also had a castle. While we were unable to go inside the castle, we were able to enjoy the gardens that were in full bloom.
Students were encouraged to go see the two shows happening at the zoo what we were there. The bird show was very informative and the birds were incredibly well trained. They flew right by the audience’s faces! The dog show also featured dogs who were focused on their task and students could learn about why certain breeds of dogs are best suited for different types of work.
The zoo had many animals from all over the world. While at the café, chickens walked around freely pecking at the ground. The lions were very active in the afternoon and the farm animals were friendly. This was a fun way to enjoy animals from around the world with students from both programs!
