Jewelry Workshop and Reina Sofia Modern Art Museum
As we walked into the jewelry gallery, we were shocked to learn that all pieces were made by students like us. It was even more intimidating when we were challenged with jewelry making. We started with dripping wax to form different shapes, forming and cutting wax sheets, and molding clay designs and pouring wax into shapes. We had a few minor burns but now we look like real artists.
Visiting the highly anticipated Reina Sofia Museum of modern art did not disappoint. Students were responsible for researching an artist and educating the group on their life, style and moments all while developing their own interpretation.
