Yesterday was the second Sunday spent with my new Spanish family here in Mallorca! While I would have been at church back in New Jersey, my roommate, Esther, my host mom, María, and I decided to take a peaceful stroll around the city. Since it was Sunday, there were not many people in the streets, which was surprising to see. We ended up walking for almost an hour and wound up in Port de Palma, where there were many typical Mallorcan boats called "Llaud". We also stopped by a popular ice cream shop called "La Boutique del Gelato" which is famous for selling each "bola" (scoop) for only 0.95£! We each got two bolas because it was so cheap (and delicious)! I will definitely miss going on casual walks around this beautiful town and the small but meaningful conversations I have shared with María. We only have one more Sunday with our host families left, but I'll make sure to have tons of fun with them while I can!
