Exploration Continues in the Lion City!
Yesterday we participated in a cultural and walking tour of Singapore’s Chinatown.
The student’s Chinese instructor Ms. Jiang Chan led our group to some of the historical sites such as Ya Kun, Nanyang Old Coffee and many more.
The highlight of our tour was visiting the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum. Built in 2007, the temple gets its name from what the Buddhists regard as the left canine tooth of Buddha.
The temple’s architecture and ancient artifacts are stunning. While we were there, we listened to the live chanting taking place.
This tour provided a truly immersive experience that was both informative and awe-inspiring!
Our day concluded by taking a river cruise that allows students to photograph Singapore’s top tourist’s attractions such as Marina Bay Sands and the Merlion.
