Europameisterschaft in Berlin!
Did you know that the Euro (Europameisterschaft) 2024 is taking place in Germany from June 14 - July 14? Berlin is one of ten cities in Germany where the games are being played! The Olympic Stadium (Olympiastadion) is hosting six games, including the finale on July 14th. Germany has played twice so far in the group stage having won both of their games and securing a spot in the next round!
There are "Public Viewings" set up around the city where fans can come in their best black, red and gold to support die Mannschaft. Our CIEE students are truly privileged to be here in Berlin for such an exciting event! The biggest watch party takes place directly in front of the iconic Brandenburg Gate. With a giant goal post surrounding the giant screen, fans cheer together to support the German national team. It's a place to learn German chants, cheers, songs and enjoy a delicious Bratwurst! Check out the photos of some of our Berlin German Language and Culture students enjoying the atmosphere decked out in schwarz, rot und gold.
Be sure to follow along with the German national team as they stay on their path to the finale in Berlin on July 14th!
