Chatting It Up with Local Students in Barcelona
This Thursday, students from the HSSA Spanish Language and Culture in Barcelona program met with local Spanish students from the Escola Pia secondary school.
To begin, one CIEE student and one Spanish each introduced themselves to the group and spoke a bit about where they were from. Afterwards, the students formed small conversation groups, with a mix of American and Spanish students in each group. They chatted enthusiastically about their families and their favorite pastimes, movies, and videogames. They also discussed international travel and compared different aspects of daily life in the U.S. and Spain, such as the foods that people eat and what school is like in each country.
As the morning came to a close, the students all gathered together to take a group picture and bid farewell to their new, international friends.
