The Barcelona Adventure Begins
On Sunday, more than 100 students from all over the United States arrived in Barcelona. After a short journey from the airport to the CIEE center, they met their host families. The families warmly welcomed our students with hugs and “dos besos.” At orientation the next day, the students learned about the program, customs, and safety while also getting to know each other through icebreakers and games. The students also met their program leaders and Spanish teachers, shared a tasty lunch, and walked around the CIEE neighborhood to become familiar with the area. We all took the CIEE language pledge to use only Spanish inside and outside of the classroom. Check out this video highlighting the first two days in Barcelona.
