Conduct behavioral experiments to assess the nutritional effects on honeybee health, including learning, memory, and immune functioning. Rear honeybees on controlled pollen diets in a tent environment, ensuring no access to natural pollen sources. Carry out the Proboscis Extension Reflex assay to evaluate the learning and memory abilities of individual honeybees. Collect, record, and analyze data, presenting findings during lab meetings. Participate in bi-weekly progress meetings and daily feedback sessions with the support scientist.     About the Role

    Position Description: The Front Desk Intern will support front desk operations and provide outstanding service to our guests. This role includes structured rotations through various front desk functions to ensure a well-rounded experience and thorough understanding of hotel operations. Responsibilities: Rotation 1: Guest Services and Check-In/Check-Out • Welcome and register guests, assign rooms, and provide information about hotel services and amenities. • Handle phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries promptly and professionally. • Assist guests with special requests and ensure their stay is pleasant and comfortable. • Manage room assignments, upgrades, and changes as necessary. • Process payments, handle billing, and manage financial transactions accurately. Rotation 2: Reservations and Revenue Management • Process reservations and manage room availability. • Monitor and adjust room rates based on demand and market conditions. • Coordinate with sales and marketing teams for group bookings and special promotions. • Provide accurate reports on reservations and revenue metrics. Rotation 3: Concierge Services and Guest Relations • Provide concierge services, including restaurant reservations, transportation arrangements, and local recommendations. • Handle special requests and arrangements for VIP guests. • Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage teams to ensure guest satisfaction. • Follow up with guests to ensure their needs are met and address any issues. Rotation 4: Administrative Support and Back-Office Operations • Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies. • Support administrative tasks such as scheduling, filing, and reporting. • Provide feedback and insights to improve front desk operations. • Participate in staff meetings and contribute ideas for enhancing guest experiences Knowledge or Skills to be Taught: See role above. Certification Required: Currently enrolled (or graduated) with degree in hospitality, tourism, or related field. Skills Required: • • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. • A positive attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic knowledge of hotel management software. English Language Requirements: Must have upper-intermediate level or higher in English and intermediate/B2 level on proof of English forms. Compensation: $16 hourly ($2560 monthly) Housing: temporary housing for first month while interns find housing for remainder of role
