To participate in the Internship USA or Career Training USA program, it's important to follow program rules and regulations.
Your First Day
The first day at your internship or training position will include the completion of paperwork and an orientation. Be sure to bring these documents with you.
Pay and Taxes
If you have a paid internship or training, understand how and when you’ll be paid, what taxes are required, and when to file a tax return.
Rights and Legal Protections
As an international intern or trainee, you have many of the same rights as your American colleagues. However, job benefits common in your home country may not be guaranteed by U.S. law. Know before you go!
Program Evaluations
Complete the required evaluations from CIEE to help us assess the success of your program and ensure that we are meeting participants’ needs.
Extending, Changing, or Ending Your Program Early
When plans change – and sometimes they do – CIEE will do everything possible to accommodate you.
Your Last Day
As your internship or training comes to an end, there are still a few important tasks to complete before you leave your host organization, the U.S., and after you return home.
