A Week Full of 'Firsts'
As my first week in Rennes comes to a close, I only have one word in response: "WOW"
Speaking of the word 'first', this week I noticed that I got to experience a lot of new things, many of which I was experiencing for the very first time. Below, you will find a list of some amazing things I got to do in just the FIRST week of my trip.
For the First time...
- I rode on a train in Europe
- I saw and swam in the Atlantic Ocean
- I ate galettes, a tradtional food from Brittany
- I stepped foot in a European country
- I stayed the night with a host family
- I stepped inside a European Cathedral
- I flew over an ocean
- I saw the movie Black Panther (in French!)
- I spoke French with a native speaker
- I ate traditional Canadian Poutine at a restaurant in Rennes called Poutine Bros
- I had a picnic inside a famous French park
- I witnessed the typical day of a French high school student
- I ate French chocolate, cheese, and crêpes on a tour
- and SO many more!
With so many things planned for the coming weeks, I am so excited to take in all of the amazing things that life in France has to offer.
