A Delicious Farewell
Last night, the Honors Program celebrated the end of a wonderful month at the Brasserie de la Paix in Rennes. Students enjoyed a delicious three course meal, with French specialties at every turn.
Some students tried escargot for the first time, while others enjoyed tartine, salmon, or tried taurine. For the main course, we had suprême de poulet, carpaccio, or ravioli. We finished the meal with classic French desserts including crême brûlée, mousse au chocolat, or fresh fruit.
Everyone was there, even our wonderful French class instructors and the head of the Rennes branch of CIEE. The students dressed up and had a great time visiting and remembering all of the adventures that were had during the past month. From all of the conversation, laughter, and general chatter, it was clear that the entire group grew close through this incredible trip, and that they’ve learned so much during this month. It was a fantastic send-off dinner and a bittersweet finale.
