Tapas: A Gustatory Experience
With freshly washed hands, meticulously honed knives, expert chef guidance, and, above all, an apetite for mouthwatering tapas, our students (and Program Leaders!) were ready to engage and indulge in this one-of-a-kind and hands-on culinary workshop at Enjoy Cooking Barcelona.
From Andalusia to Catalonia, each region of Spain has its local specialties. What better way to explore a culture than to dive right into its most steadfast culinary traditions? Our students got to experience firsthand some of the flavors that characterize the Iberian Peninsula, such as fresh and robust extra-virgin olive oil and haute cuisine-inspired pimiento mousse. Our meticulous chefs-in-training flpped omelettes, garnished tostadas, carefully dispersed pressurized pepper mousse, and sealed empanadas in preparation for crisp-tacular frying. By the time this was all said and done, everyone was ready to dig in! ¡A comer!
