St Malo Visit
Ahhh.... the visit to St Malo, beautiful coastal city. The weather couldn't be any nicer and water any more blue and green. Event he best cameras couldn't capture the increadible landscapes that St Malo offers. Apparently, it is one of the only three places on earth with the highest tides. Famous Fort National looks like an island when tides are hight, and tide goes down, you can see the sandy beach leading up to the fort. Day started with a little history from our funny and expressive guide at the Maison du Corsaire. The house is still standing from 1725! We learned about St Malo trade and war actions, touched centuries-old document and weapons and even went down to the cave where merchandise used to be stored. Of course, we hit the beach. Despite fresh temperatures, water was surprisingly warm and many students went swimming. And no visit to St Malo can be complete without walking on the ramparts and and eating freshly made Kouign Amann, breton desert with LOTS of butter.
