Session One Comes to an End
As the program comes to an end, we look back at all the memories we have made. It has been an unforgettable four weeks. We have immersed ourselves fully in the culture and expanded our knowledge of the language. It has been an amazing time getting to know the magic of Barcelona from walking through the beautiful and lively streets, seeing the grand architecture, learning how to dance flamenco, and make tapas, the list goes on and on. Here is a closer look from some of the students who want to share a little bit about their experiences:

Hola! To say I have enjoyed my time in Barcelona would be an understatement. My experience here definitely had not been perfect but with the help of the staff along with my friends it has been one of the best experiences! From meeting new people that I now can call my best friends to seeing things I would never see in Wisconsin, this trip has been unforgettable. I was incredibly lucky to be moved into a family who was very welcoming and loving to me right away. Having a host family is one of the coolest things I’ve ever experienced. Barcelona has taught me more than a girl could ever imagine. I am beyond lucky to spend a month here on this program! I can’t thank my friends, group leader and staff, along with my host family enough for making this one of the best months of my life!

When I first came to Barcelona the first week was hard for me, not gonna lie. I missed home severely and I wasn’t sure if I was gonna enjoy myself, however I started exploring the city more and more day by day, then I started joining people after school and going out a lot. Since then I’ve made so many friends, memories, and have gained so much confidence in myself by experiencing many firsts. I’m so incredibly grateful for this experience and Barcelona will forever have a place in my heart.
Students will finish this week by completing their STAMP test on Thursday and enjoying one last goodbye celebration on Friday. We head home on Saturday with our hearts full, minds and knowledge widened, and with memories that will last a lifetime.
