Mercat de l'Olivar - Shopping in a traditional market in Palma
This morning we visited the stalls and booths of Mercat de l'Olivar in the heart of Palma. Students sought out information from each of the sections (fish, meat, fruits and vegetables, and artisan goods) to complete a descriptive activity and enjoyed some traditional eats. Competitive spirits emerged as students raced to buy as many different fruits from as many different vendors as possible with five euros -- with the reward of gelato, of course. Congrats to the winning team of Mackenzie, Ines, Megan, Virginia and Jayden!
