¡Madrid!
What a weekend it was in Madrid! After a bus ride through the heartland of Spain, the group arrived to Madrid Friday evening. The trip started off with a flamenco show and dinner. The following day the group would visit Real Madrid's soccer stadium, the Santiago Bernabéu. The tour included visits to the field, a tour of their trophy collection and the players' locker rooms. After lunch, the group went to the Prado where they had a guided tour to start and then free time to explore the museum on their own. The following day the group went on a tour of Alcalá de Henares, the birth place of Spain's Miguel de Cervantes, author of Don Quijote followed by a paella lunch. The group seemed to have a great visit to the Spanish capital, but are glad to be back "home" in Alicante. Photos below!
