La danse à L'Danse!

This week's theme is "La créativité," so we will spend the week exploring the creative side of Toulouse through music, dance, film and art.  In the process, students will also discover their own creative sides by trying some things that may be new to them.  Who knows?!? They may find something that they didn't even know they could do!  

Today, we started our creative adventure at L'Danse where we learned about the history of Hip-Hop and the Hip-Hop culture.  Students learned that there are different types of Hip-Hop art including DJing, rap, beatboxing, dance, rap and graffiti.  Did you know that some of the top beatboxers are from Toulouse?  After, we spent some time learning some dance steps and then tried to put it all together.  Some of the words that the students used to describe how they felt at the end of class included happy, energized and relaxed.
