Hike to the Temple of Heaven
There's been quite a few long walks on this trip. Yesterday's lead us to the Temple of Heaven, built in order for the emperor to pray for improved agricultural conditions. (Many of you will soon see stuffed versions of this temple and the Great Wall! They're very cute!) Later, we went to the Pearl Market, a market where the list price is sometimes 800 times the actual price. Tova and Ana were a great bartering team and worked a shop owner from over two hundred Yuan for one bracelet to 50 Yuan for two!
After our morning fieldtrip trips, the students had time to work on their final projects. Today we'll see the Olympic Park and let the kids prepare some more. Tomorrow is their last day here!
