Lets go to Wuxi!
After a week of hard work, we packed into a bus in the morning Saturday to spend a fun and culturally rich weekend in Wuxi, or what the locals would call it 小上海 (little Shanghai). We started our day in the beautiful city at the clay figurine museum. After a little tour, we made our own traditional Wuxi clay figurine.
Once we finished our masterpieces, we headed out to Li Garden for a nice walk through a traditional Chinese garden. Our tour guide told us the history of the garden and explained the reasoning behind certain architechure and certain plant choices. After a short tour, we had an hour of free time where we explored the fun and unique shops that line the pedestrian streets just outside of the garden. One of the most famous bubble tea shops in China is where the Program Leaders flocked.
After our adventure in a new city, we headed to our hotel to get some rest for our next day of discovery. After distributing our Hanfu outfits we will wear on Sunday, lights went out at 10pm.
