Getting to know Rennes - through our senses!
Our first week in Rennes included a guided visit of the Centre Ville in an unconventional way. We discovered elements of the culture and history of Rennes and Brittany through a "Rallye de 5 sens" using our five senses! We learned what traditional houses were made of by trying to figure out the mystery items through our sense of touch. We identified classic Breton food staples through smell and got to taste a Breton pastry (butter!!). Finally, we used our sense of perception to place historical ruins in the modern town center. On a beautiful sunny day, students discovered how the past and the present co-exist in Rennes.
