Friday afternoons at Parc du Thabor
Friday afternoons are a relaxing time in Rennes. After project presentations, Global Navigators grab lunch at their favorite spot and meet at the park. It's a chance to chill out in a social setting and to talk to local French youth, many of whom are interested in studying abroad in the U.S.
Malika is from La Reunión and answered Navigators' questions about island life and what it's like to attend a university in France.
Bahari fielded questions about the French BAC (similar to the SAT), cinema, and even French politics. It's nice for students who live with host families who don't have children their age to be able to talk to French youth and get their perspective.
Students also played some games (en français, bien sûr!) to get to know each other better.
Afterward, it's free time and many students chose to go see the Barbie film opening at the cinema this weekend.
