First Days in Barcelona
The first week is a whirlwind of new experiences and learning, and we're just getting started. Our journey began on Monday with a thorough orientation where students learned essential safety tips and how to navigate the city using public transportation 🚌. Embracing the local culture, our students took a language pledge to speak Spanish throughout the program, enhancing their immersion experience.
The adventure continued Tuesday before classes with a tour of the historic Montjuic fortress, offering breathtaking views of Barcelona from both the fortress and the ride in an aerial cablecar 🚠. Wednesday, student groups competed in a scavenger hunt while learning about the Gothic neighborhood. Students not only explored historical elements of the city, but also built human pyramids, showcasing teamwork and cultural integration.
