Ferris Bueller
Hi, y'all!
Raise your hand if you know this movie. Oh, good. I see that all hands went up! Oh, wait, did I just hear someone say, "I've been meaning to see that?" Life Advice #1 - see that movie, because it contains Life Advice #2 - "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it." I bring this up for two reasons:
1) My family has for years had the tradition of making homemade pizzas and watching this movie after getting home on the last day of school....which I am thrilled to say is a week from yesterday!
2) I would like to suggest that you adopt this mantra for your time in Japan. Y'all are about a week away from what we Program Leaders (PLs) hope will be one of the most amazing things you've ever done. We will definitely do what we can to guide you on this journey and would encourage you to not just look around at, but to smell, feel, taste, and listen to everything you experience in Japan. We can't wait to hear about your discoveries!
