Ending our Second week in Prague
Rounding to the end of our 2nd week here in Prague we’ve had so many fun and new experiences to take back home. Wednesday we went to Czech Technical University and used there Virtual Reality system for an afternoon. Many of us played games, visited home, and painted all from a virtual world. It was such a cool experience and then knowing that this programming and these systems are all forms of art. The next day was definitely one of the most mentally impacting. We went to the Invisible Exhibition. It’s a simulation to help better understand blindness and what’s its like in the world for people in the blind community. We were led through a pitch black simulation by a completely blind person as our guide. We relied only on 4 senses and experienced things from making food in a kitchen to trying to walk in a busy street. All of us definitely walked away with new appreciation and understandings. Today we animated UFO’s flying in on Prague. Many of us just learning the digital art universe only days before, we were pretty proud and excited for ourselves. Then we hiked a little bit to a spot in the woods and were taught about land art. All we had was nature and string and this new method was so fun personally. It was not only an incredible teaching moment but a great bonding experience. There were no rules just creativity and I think that’s what a lot of us loved about it. I’m very satisfied with this week and excited for our weekend in Brno and then Our last week in the Czech Republic!
