Cactus, Cactus, and more Cactus
This past weekend we took an excursion to learn about nopales, or cactus. In a quaint town called Valtierillia, they cultivate these nopales to make all sorts of products from soaps and lotions to salsas, marmalades, and crackers. After learning about how they make these products, we then had a grand nopal feast with pencas, tacos, and ice cream!
