Bonjour Carcassone!
Thursday morning we took the bus to Carcassonne, a hilltop town in southern France’s Languedoc area. Carcassonne is famous for its medieval citadel, La Cité. La Cité is a fortified double walled medieval city with 52 watchtowers and 3 kilometers of rampart lined by buildings made of pink bricks. We had French lessons on the grounds and walked through the Château Comtal to see how royalty lived.
