Berlin Fun, Despite Delays!
Participants heading to Berlin for session II were jarred with many flight delays and cancelations due to unruly weather on the East Coast. Despite those frustrations, everyone managed to remain happy and excited for the coming fun!
Through it all, students and program leaders began trickling into Berlin, and now are finally all present!
One of the first excursions was the Berlin Walking Tour. Tour guides accompanied participants through culturally and historically significant sites in Berlin, including the picturesque Brandenburg Gate.
Students also experienced the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe. Situated on an area of 19,000 sq. meters, students learned that the memorial is left up to the interpretation of each individual experiencing it.
Stay tuned for our next adventure!
