My Favorite Café Spots in Prague
By: Eladia Michaels
The Moment Bistro:
- (Located in Slezská 62, 120 00 Praha 2-Vinohrady) If you are vegan, this is a perfect place to go. The ambiance is so upbeat, and the food is amazing. What is special about this café is that they only serve vegan food and pastries, along with delicious coffee. There is a lot of space to grab a table and have breakfast, lunch, or dinner with your friends. Some of my recommendations of food items to order are:
- For Breakfast: a cappuccino or a fresh cup of orange juice with Gluten-free pancakes.
- For lunch: The Carrot barley risotto à full of flavor and kept me satiated throughout the day.
Starbucks Reserve:
- This is a classic, however I thought I had to include this. There is something very comforting about going to a café that is familiar to something from home. That is why I love the Starbucks reserve. Located in Jungmannova 750/34, 110 00 Nové Město, this reserve offers an experience. I love coming here to do my schoolwork since it is on my way home from school. The staff carry around little pastries to snack on and offer a cozy environment to get comfy and productive!
- I love to splurge on a hot matcha latte or caramel macchiato when I visit this location. Their carrot cake is also very light and perfect for a midday pick me up.
Coffee Corner Café:
- It’s a Sunday and you need a place to sit for many hours and grind out some work with your friends? The coffee corner is the answer for you. Located in Korunní 1342/96, 101 00 Vinohrady, the café is a very affordable and open space that keeps you in a productive mood while also providing you with some delicious food.
- This café is specifically known for its espresso drinks, delicious desserts, and variety of brunch options. They serve eggs benedicts and burgers, but my favorite brunch meal is their avocado toast.
Kro:
- I found this café because it was right across my tram stop to school. Kro is very unique, there is a café and a kitchen right next door to each other, so you really do get the best of both worlds. Their oat milk stands out from the rest of the cafes. When you get an oat milk latte, the foam is just delectable and creamy. Located in Vinohradská 64, 130 00, Prague 3 kro Coffee. This placed has the most delicious hot Cocoa. I love getting the almond Croissant and dipping it into my hot cocoa at the coffee shop.
- When I go next door, I can’t help myself when I get excited because of how delicious their chicken is here. I get the Caesar salad with Kro Kitchen. When visiting Kro, I highly recommend trying their fresh homemade kimchi. Very refreshing after a long day.
