Manuel Antonio is located on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, near Quepos, in Puntarenas province. It is a tourist area full of beautiful landscapes of beaches and forests. In Manuel Antonio, you can find one of Costa Rica’s National Parks with the same name, Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio, where is possible to observe different species of flora and fauna, including animals like the two and three-toed sloth, deer, monkeys, birds and much more. Although it is very small, this National Park is very popular with tourists, which creates some interesting dynamics at the interface of development and conservation.
