One thing about me is that I love food. I’m always up for any meal and excited about trying new foods from different cultures. It is a global language that tells stories, connects people, and introduces you to aspects of life that might not otherwise be shared. I have always dreamed of speaking French and living in France, one of the top gastronomy destinations, and it has come true. With all of its rich, buttery pastries, refined sauces, and decadent desserts, French cuisine was recognized worldwide, but I have discovered so much more in France than its standard dishes.

Throughout my four months here, I have seized upon the opportunity to immerse myself in a culinary journey with many different dining experiences, from an exquisite one in a Michelin-starred restaurant to hidden gems. A visit to Pur, a Michelin-star restaurant that showcases a gallery filled with ornately crafted foods, was among the many memorable experiences. Even with that, the cozy restaurants were just as lovely, matched by the vibes and tastes. I came across the most amazing spots for breakfast, like the Coffeehouse 5 Pailles, the bakery and pastry shop that provides to the community, i.e., Du Pain et des Idées and Kozy, each having unique morning bites.

Besides a French restaurant, I have also eaten at Japanese places such as Kintaro Ramen, Sushi Shop, and Neko Ramen. The combination of flavors is incredible in each bowl of ramen. The Italian food was at the top of the list, as Big Mamma Libertino and Pink Mamma offered cheesy pasta meals that were warm and fulfilling. In addition to that, we also have unique places like Le Comptoir Général, Le Papacinou, and Le Cardinal, where interesting meals and great vibes are offered. Each time I sat down for a meal, it felt like traveling, and I couldn’t wait to explore what the culinary world has to offer again.
