Monica Malcomson
Monica is a first grade teacher and lives in Maine. She was born in Brazil and grew up on the East end of Long Island in NY. She is an extremely passionate educator and lifelong learner who enjoys discovering through travel and service leadership. Monica served as a Peace Corps Volunteer on the carribbean coast of Colombia where she taught high school English and developed an urban dance program. She is also a retired gymnast and figure skater and toured with Disney on Ice for one year and attended a performing arts school in Manhattan for her Jr. year of high school. Monica is extremely passionate about dance, yoga, the beach/nature, and exploring culture through art and food. She has travel experience in Costa Rica, Colombia, Spain, Mexico, Canada, Dominican Republic, Haiti, El Salvador and is fluent in Spanish.
