Bollywood!
Yesterday evening, participants experienced their very first Bollywood dance class with two local instructors. They were able to learn three different combinations to three different songs as they explored this new movement step by step. Since this style of dance was new to most participants, they really did an amazing job smiling and laughing all the way through. They demonstrated elegant hand positions and fun hip movements and all brought their own personal style to the dance floor.
What better way to follow such an activity than with a visit to Ramoji Film City! Ramoji Film City is the epicenter of Bollywood movies in India and also holds a Guinness World record for being the largest film city in the world. Our day started off with some fun rides and a walk through some of the city’s entertainment attractions including the Wild West Show, a live performance that everyone enjoyed! We also had the opportunity to watch a live, full costume Bollywood dance performance which had everyone mezmorized. Lunch was served buffet style and offered an amazing array of Indian favorites. We then embarked on a two hour tour of the entire city grounds where participants step foot onto several movie sets where famous Bollywood films took place! Finally, we ended the day with a stroll through the butterfly gardens and exotic bird sanctuary, enjoyed some more rides in the small amusement park and indulged in some souvenir shopping. It was a very busy day but so worth it!
