Jamie Pothier
Jamie's Program
Bonjour! Hello! I am Jamie Pothier from Alabama, USA . I live in Florence with my husband, 17 year-old daughter, and 6 year-old pug, Otis. I am a Nationally Certified STEM Educator, currently teaching high school science and visual arts to students in grades 9-12. I first collaborated with CIEE as a host parent. I have hosted Mia, from Brazil, last school year, and I will be hosting Gabi, from Poland, this upcoming school year. This summer will be my first year working as a Program Leader with CIEE for the Aerospace Engineering program in Toulouse, France. I believe the best educational experiences and lessons take place outside of the traditional classroom. Traveling to a new country to learn and experience a culture outside of your own is priceless. I am so excited to go on this adventure with some amazing students this summer!
