The streets and avenues of Buenos Aires and its 48 distinct neighborhoods offer cultural wonders, diverse gastronomy, lively nightlife, and beautiful parks and green spaces. When you study abroad in Argentina, you’ll experience the life, history, and culture of this country through its world-class museums, quaint cafés, historic architecture, and more. Buenos Aires is an incredible place to intern abroad and for students looking to explore Latin America, learn the Spanish language, and immerse themselves in Latin culture.

The Culture
Excursions & Activities
Excursions and activities may include:
- Enjoying traditional Argentine food and learning the tango and folk dances

Housing & Meals
Housing
CIEE Buenos Aires offers diverse housing options to ensure you're comfortable in your home away from home. From homestays to shared apartments, we strive for your accommodation preferences to be met. Additionally, all housing options are located in neighborhoods with convenient access to public transportation, shops, cafés, and eateries.
Standard Housing: Includes a single room at a homestay, a double room at a shared apartment, or a double room at a student residency located within a 60-minute commute from CIEE Buenos Aires.
- Homestays: Homestays give students the opportunity to immerse themselves in authentic, day-to-day Argentine life by living with socially active hosts who encourage student independence. Homestays include kitchen access for food storage, a living room, Wi-Fi, weekly laundry, and a bathroom shared with the host. Host families provide two meals a day.
- Shared Apartments: Shared apartments are modest in size and feature a few amenities, single beds, Wi-Fi access, maintenance repair services, bed linens, towels, and a kitchen. Meals are not included in apartments.
- Student Residencies: The student residency is modern, offers Wi-Fi access, and a shared kitchen. No meals are included in this option.
Select Housing: Includes a private room in a studio apartment or at a shared apartment located 45 minutes from CIEE Buenos Aires. Select housing requires an additional fee.
- Shared Apartments: Shared apartments are modest in size and feature a few amenities, Wi-Fi access, maintenance repair services, bed linens, towels, and a kitchen. Meals are not included in apartments.
- Studio Apartments: single room units that feature Wi-Fi access, maintenance repair services, bed linens, towels, and a kitchen. Meals
Homestays include two meals per day: Breakfast and either lunch or dinner. Host families and students arrange their own meal schedules. Students are responsible for the remaining meal, either preparing it at home or eating in one of the many restaurants and cafés throughout the city.
Residence Halls/Shared Apartments: Meals are not included. Residence halls and apartments have direct access to supermarkets and restaurants.
Academics
As a global intern in Buenos Aires, you’ll be assigned a non-paying position within a wide range of business aligned with your interests to help you boost your employability and future job performance. Co-curricular and cultural activities in and around Buenos Aires complement your coursework and will immerse you in the history and culture of the Argentine people.
This eight-week program includes a full-time internship and an integrated online academic course.

To help you budget, keep in mind that students are responsible for the cost of international airfare, local transportation, books and supplies, visas, and personal expenses. In addition, your college or university may charge additional fees for study abroad, or may require you to receive a transcript via CIEE's School of Record, which carries an additional fee of $500.

Mariano Sañudo

Mariano holds a B.A. on Philology and a Master in Cultural Management. He has vast experience developing cultural programs and working with international students.
Bruno Nunes
Academic Coordinator
Bruno is from Brazil and lived in England and Italy before arriving in Argentina in 2014. He holds Bachelor, Master and Doctorate degrees in International Relations.
