This monthly email helps participants learn more about American culture and traditions, and it includes interesting facts about everything from holidays to government, as well as information about beautiful places like our national parks. It also introduces Service Learning Saturday, which highlights volunteer opportunities from the United States – a great way for J-1 participants to embrace an American tradition, make friends, and make a difference.

To help you make the most of your time in the United States, we’ve compiled a list of the top 10 things to do in different regions throughout the country. No matter the season, you’ll find some fun and interesting activities to do while you’re in the United States.

We encourage participants to get social and tell the world about their experiences.
