Welcome to Palma!!!
We started our day at the famous Plaza España and made our way to the CIEE ELE Center to jump right into orientation! Students were eager to get to know each other so we began with an ice breaker and an informative session about what to expect during their time in Palma. After morning orientation we had our packed lunches at a local park. Then, we had an open discussion about navigating culture shock, differences between cultures, and homestay life. We headed to the beach for a well-deserved break and a dip in the Mediterranean Sea. At the beach, we played Marco Polo, ate some popsicles, and got to know each other! Once back in the center of Palma, students enjoyed some free time where they got to shop and explore their new home. Everyone finished the day's adventure with their homestay families and got ready for Day 2.
