Recently, our spirited group of Global Navigators embarked on an exciting journey to the center of Palma de Mallorca, and it turned out to be an adventure filled with awe and delight. The highlight of our trip was the magnificent Cathedral of Palma, also known as La Seu. This Gothic masterpiece, with its towering spires and intricate stained glass windows, left our students enchanted. As we wandered through its grand halls, soaking in the history and beauty, the students couldn't help but marvel at the architectural brilliance and the serene ambiance that enveloped us.

After our enlightening tour of the cathedral, it was time to indulge in a treat that was equally delightful but in a different way. We headed to the famous Can Joan de S’Aigo, a historic ice cream parlor that has been serving joy in scoops since 1700. The excitement was palpable as we entered this charming establishment, with its old-world charm and inviting atmosphere. Our students, with their adventurous palates, were eager to sample the delicious, handcrafted ice creams that Can Joan de S’Aigo is renowned for.

The choices seemed endless and tempting, with traditional flavors like almond, coconut, and chocolate, each scoop telling a story of Mallorcan heritage. The students, chattering excitedly, tried different combinations, some opting for the rich and creamy almond ice cream while others savored the unique flavors of fig and cinnamon. Laughter and smiles filled the air as they compared notes on their favorite flavors, making the experience not just a culinary delight but also a memorable bonding moment.

As we wrapped up our sweet escapade, it was clear that the visit to the Cathedral of Palma and Can Joan de S’Aigo had left a mark on our Global Navigators. It was a perfect blend of cultural immersion and simple pleasures, giving the students a taste of the rich history and vibrant life of Palma de Mallorca. With hearts full and taste buds satisfied, we headed home to rest for the next day's journey.
