Welcome to Morocco!
Maharba! Welcome to Morocco! We arrived to Casablanca airport and were greeted by CIEE staff Sunday morning. After an hour drive to Rabat, students met their host families and settled in with them Sunday afternoon.
Monday students attended orientation at the study center where they started to learn about what to expect in the program and meet the study center local staff and teachers. After a morning session, we had a group lunch where students got to try various Moroccan specialites like chicken tagine, beef tagine, kefta tagine, chicken pastilla ( my favorite!!!) and various sweets for dessert! We had muscians come and play and sing for our group which turned in to an hour of singing and dancing for the entire group! Everyone had a fantastic time at the welcome lunch! Stay tuned for more of our Moroccan adventures in Outdoor Leadership!
