Vannes, Concarneau, Locronan, Trévarez -- Oh my!
This weekend, the students traveled to the historical region Cornouaille on the west coast of "la Bretagne," visiting Vannes, Concarneau, Locronan, and Trévarez. They departed Saturday morning for Vannes, the capital of the Morbihan department, and had a guided tour through the magnificent medieval port city. Later that evening, they traveled to Concarneau where they spent the evening on the beautiful Atlantic coast and watched the tide and waves wash ashore. Sunday morning the students ate breakfast and left for Locronan, another historical hidden pearl in Brittany, France known for its preserved beauty dating back to the fifteenth century. They ended this amazing excursion into the past with a visit to the Trévarez castle, located in the National Park of Armorica. The students not only visited beautiful historical sites but ate authentic galettes and crepes in Locronan! The students arrived back to Rennes Sunday evening, tired, but ready to return to their new French families and school routine Monday morning! Quel beau voyage!!
