Un jour au musée
At the end of the week, we have a museum discovery day. Students got to choose which museum they wanted to visit between 4 options:
-Le Couvent des Jacobins : a convent that is a great example of Gothic architecture. You can find the relics of St. Thomas Aquinas here. It was also used by Napoleon to house soldiers and horses, which unfortunately damaged many of the painted frescoes on the walls.
-Saint-Raymond : the archeology museum of Toulouse. In this museum, you can find artifacts and sculptures from
-Les Abbatoirs : a contemporary art museum that was once a slaughterhouse.
-Musée départamental de la Résistance et de la déportation : a museum dedicated to the Second World War. The documents, photographs, and objects on display tell the story of the Occupation, Resistance, Liberation, and Deportations to concentration camps in the Haute-Garonne area during World War II.
