Taking Climate Action

It’s been a fun adventure for our global navigators this week. Let’s go back in time and look at what we’ve done so far in the program.

On our first full day, our students had their orientation in the morning, followed by lunch at the beloved Riz Raz. In the afternoon our instructor Niels presented an introduction to Danish language class and took the students on a lovely walking tour around Copenhagen’s city center.

Day 2 was filled with excitement in the afternoon as the students had a guided boat tour around Copenhagen. On day 3 we had a lovely walk up to Copenhill and learned a little about the “waste to energy” incinerator. Later in the afternoon we headed to Reffen, an urban playground for street foods and innovation. Reffen is known as the largest street food venue in the Nordics.

On Thursday, our day 4, the students had class at the Energi & Vand center. In the afternoon we took a trip to the Danish Design Museum.

Day 5 started with some class presentations, which if I may say so, they were amazing. After burning some energy in the morning, we had to treat our students with a fun afternoon. We had a fantastic time exploring Tivoli Gardens and enjoying the rides.

Some say day 6 was the highlight of our trip so far, but the best is yet to come. On day 6 we took a day trip to the iconic Youth Island, where the students completed a “government” activity and then had the chance to enjoy the wonders of the island.

Sunday, the 7th day was a relaxing day for everyone. We had a lovely visit to the Copenhagen aquarium and then enjoyed a late afternoon swim in the harbor.

Thank you for creating some beautiful memories Taking Climate Action 2023 Session II, I can't wait to see what week 2 brings.
