Students Take to the Trees... and the Water!
This past weekend, Paris Fashion and Design students took a short trip outside of Paris for some fun in the sun (and the rain). They spent the day at Park Cergy, an outdoor amusement park with a multitude of exhilarating activities.
Upon arrival, students strapped into harnesses and took to the trees. They climbed through obstacle courses and ziplined through the air—doing what is known as Accrobranche here in France.
Accrobranche is a popular outdoor adventure activity in which participants get to see nature from up above, all while testing their limits on obstacles of varying difficulty. The courses range from about 20-100m in height and include nets, rope swings, wooden platforms and much much more.
The group worked together to help one another succeed by providing words of encouragement to their friends as they attempted to tackle each new challenge.
After successfully testing their mental and physical strength, it was time for a swim. Students walked to a neighboring lakeside beach. Some students took naps and spent time with their friends, while others waded into the water or launched themselves in via the waterslide. Laughter and the occasional “It’s cold!” could be heard all around.
While students have been loving getting to know and explore the city of Paris, this weekend provided a nice and refreshing getaway trip wherein they could reconnect with nature and bond with their fellow fashion students.
