Session 2 is here!
Session 2 has arrived full of energy and excitement about what they will see and learn about in Australia over the next three weeks. We had a tasty welcome dinner and wandered down to the Harbor before succumbing to the jet lag. We had a scavenger hunt in the downtown area that both helped us get acquainted with the city and also taught us a few words of Australian slang. Do you know what a Cossie is? Students have confidently navigated the city in their first free time. We have also gotten acquainted with our fantastic instructor Danielle and begun learning from her. Danielle has lots of knowledge of the flora and fauna of Australia, as well as a wealth of knowledge about conservation. Students ventured out of the classroom to the botanical gardens for a tour from an Aboriginal tour guide who taught us about Bush Tucker. We are just getting started and there is so much to come!
