Port Vendres Weekend - Le Grand Bleu!
One the day following our return from the trip down to the coast, students and program leaders alike were a little more tired than usual, but everyone was full of great new memories. For most, the highlight and the most challenging part of the weekend was the hike along the coast from Port Vendres to the beach at Paulille. The path meandered up and down the coastline, providing amazing views of the blue sea and tourquoise colored bays in between the jagged cliff walls. Although all forty-four students embarked on the hike together we soon splintered into about three groups based on physical abilities. In the end, though, I was so proud of everyone's determination and mutual support. The reward after the hike was a few hours to rest at the beach and cool off in the Mediterranean.
